  11. Susannah Pearl McCray

There’s no better way to absorb Egypt’s magic than by sailing slowly down its ancient artery — the Nile. The Farida Cruise made that dream possible in the most stylish way.

Wandering through Luxor , standing where pharaohs once stood , left me speechless. But equally stunning was returning each evening to a peaceful , air-conditioned suite with dreamy views.

We’d sit at the sun terrace bar and just… be. No rushing , no Wi-Fi stress , just good drinks , laughter , and that glowing Nile.

Even laundry was handled — which meant more time for me to sneak down to the massage room or flip through a book in the library.

It was a perfect blend of history , hospitality , and horizon.

  12. Luther James “Bo” Caldwell

Let me paint the picture. A room with ceiling-to-floor windows , the Nile stretching out like a silver ribbon , temples rising in the distance. That’s the Farida experience.

Every moment felt rich — from the cool tiles underfoot in the restaurant to the warm breeze brushing our faces on deck. My wife and I danced one evening under the stars while soft Arabic music played in the background. Romantic doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Cultural highlights? Valley of the Kings was unreal. Karnak Temple made me feel like I stepped inside a myth.

This cruise is a slow , elegant drift through the cradle of civilization — with soft sheets and strong coffee.

  13. June Ellen Whitaker

I never imagined a trip could feel both like a grand adventure and a luxury spa retreat. But that’s what Farida delivered.

We walked through temples that predate most of history books. The details carved into those walls told tales older than language. Our guide made every site feel alive.

Then we returned to the boat , kicked off our shoes , and let the cruise work its magic. Pool time was sacred. I even booked a massage after our Karnak day — it was heavenly.

And don’t get me started on the food. Fresh , flavorful , and presented like artwork. I’m not usually a dessert person , but I cleaned every plate.

This wasn’t just a trip — it was a journey into ancient wonder and floating elegance.

  14. Hank Lee Trenton

Cruising with Farida was like blending National Geographic with a luxury lifestyle magazine. During the day , we were Indiana Jones — exploring tombs and tracing hieroglyphs. At night , we were sipping wine with soft jazz in the lounge bar , wrapped in Nile breezes and mood lighting.

The Karnak Temple took my breath away. I stood under pillars that touched the sky and listened to our guide decode centuries-old symbols.

Our suite was surprisingly spacious. The air conditioning was a lifesaver , and the bathroom was spotless. There’s even internet on board — though I rarely used it. I was too busy living in the moment.

The cruise had class , charm , and a rhythm all its own.

  15. Betty Lou Morgan

Sunsets , hieroglyphs , and fresh juice on the Nile

We didn’t know what to expect, but the Farida Nile Cruise blew our dusty desert expectations out of the water. Quite literally.

I’m talking about watching flamingo-colored sunsets from the sun deck while sipping mango juice that tasted like summer in a glass. I’m talking about walking through the Valley of the Kings and spotting the tiniest details on 3,000-year-old tomb walls.

Farida felt like a floating resort. Every surface gleamed, and our cabin was a chilled retreat after hot temple-hopping. We even discovered a boutique on board — I may have gone a little overboard with souvenirs.

The mix of history and high-end comfort? Chef’s kiss.

  16. Waylon Huckabee

Epic cruise through Egypt’s heart, with sunsets to match

I went in for the history — stayed for the hospitality. The Farida Cruise was smoother than a camel ride in the dunes and twice as memorable.

Our room was cozy, clean, and classy, with a personal safe, a TV we barely used (because those Nile views!), and a bathroom that sparkled every morning.

The Karnak Temple made us stop and stare for way longer than expected, and the Valley of the Kings? Gave me chills. I mean, they carved tombs into mountains 3,000 years ago. That’s wild.

Big shoutout to the sun terrace bar where I watched the Nile glow orange while sipping fresh juice. The entire staff was kind, quick, and quietly efficient.

One of the best parts? The onboard music system. We played gentle tunes while drifting — felt like a movie.

  17. Loretta Ann Wiggins

History by day, luxury by night, joy at every turn

The Farida Nile Cruise gave me everything I didn’t know I needed. Mornings started with strong coffee on the sun terrace, afternoons spent chasing pharaohs through Luxor, and evenings bathed in comfort and candlelight.

The Karnak Temple was stunning — I couldn’t stop staring at the carvings. And walking through the Valley of the Kings felt like stepping into another dimension. Our guide was top-notch, full of facts and fun little details.

Back on the boat, I loved how everything felt brand new. The massage parlor helped erase every ache, and the bar was always stocked with something refreshing. Loved how clean and quiet it all was. Soundproof decks made napping mid-day a joy.

Farida made every moment feel golden.

  18. Billy Ray Tisdale

Where Nile legends and luxury meet like old friends

Never thought I’d be cruising through 5,000 years of history in what feels like a modern palace on water — but that’s exactly what the Farida Cruise is. We visited tombs carved into mountainsides and temples that still echo with stories of gods and kings.

One of the coolest touches? The panoramic windows in our suite that opened top to bottom. It’s like the Nile was saying, “Hey there, enjoy the view.” And enjoy we did.

Everything was tastefully designed — from the soft lighting in the lounge bar to the top-tier meals below deck. I’ll never forget having a quiet moment by the boutique while my wife got lost in the jewelry shop.

This cruise doesn’t just show you Egypt — it wraps you in it.

  19. Darla Mae Pickens

A floating five-star hotel with ancient Egyptian views

I’ve stayed in fancy hotels before, but never one that moved — or one with views of temples older than time itself. That’s the Farida Nile Cruise in a nutshell. Our junior suite was like a little luxury cocoon with its own thermostat, massive windows, and the softest bed I’ve ever sunk into.

The Karnak Temple was my favorite — those hieroglyphs felt like poetry carved in stone. We toured the Valley of the Kings, and I swear I could feel the ghosts of history brushing past us.

After all the dusty adventure, returning to a clean, crisp room with chilled air and fluffy towels felt like being royalty. The sun deck bar served up mocktails with a view that had no competition. And the library? Quiet bliss with Nile sunsets as my backdrop.

  20. Eugene Buckley

Woke up in Luxor , fell asleep by the Nile , lived like royalty

From the moment we stepped on the Farida Nile Cruise , it felt like entering a time capsule wrapped in velvet . The panoramic windows in our suite made it feel like the Nile was personally waving hello every morning . One second , you’re sipping hibiscus tea on the sun deck , and the next , you’re face – to – face with the massive columns of Karnak Temple . The historical immersion was wild — 5 , 000 years of culture smacked me in the face in the best way possible .
And don’t get me started on the food . I still dream about the fluffy falafel and grilled lamb . The staff ? Smoother than the river .
Evenings were a whole other vibe — floating under the stars , jazz in the lounge , and a glass of wine I couldn’t pronounce . Farida knows how to pamper a traveler’s soul .

  21. Wade Tiller

The sun terrace bar became our favorite hangout spot — the views , the breeze , and that citrusy drink the bartender made ( I forgot the name but I dream about it now ) . What surprised me was how well the cruise balanced old world elegance with modern stuff . There was satellite TV but I never turned it on . Too much beauty outside to waste a second inside .

  22. Luanne Jo Petty

I loved waking up to the view of the Nile sliding by like a slow , lazy ribbon . We took our breakfast by the window and it was unreal — fresh fruit , warm bread , and the Nile outside like something out of a movie . I don’t usually say this , but the Farida had charm . Not in the cheesy way , but real , warm , thoughtful details in every corner . Even the towels smelled fancy .

  23. Dusty Ray Holden

This boat had a massage parlor . Let me repeat that , a massage parlor — on a cruise . After walking through Karnak in the morning sun , my feet were screaming and that massage was heaven sent . Also , the panoramic windows in our cabin made every sunset feel like a painting . Highly appreciated the UV treated water too . My wife’s been nervous about tap water since ‘98 , so this calmed her big time .

  24. Marlene Hatch

From the Valley of the Kings to the midnight breeze on the sun deck , this cruise spoiled me silly . I couldn’t believe how quiet everything felt with soundproof decks and no city buzz . The junior suite was bigger than my first apartment and the staff knew our names by day two . We even had a tiny library to flip through ancient Egyptian history between meals . Felt like Cleopatra with a better air conditioner .

  25. Waylon McCree

Exploring Karnak Temple from the river was absolutely surreal ! I could almost hear the whispers of ancient pharaohs echoing through the sandstone colonnades as we cruised by . The cruise itself was smooth as silk and the cabin , with its massive panoramic window , felt like a moving five star suite . I was a little worried about internet access but the mezzanine level worked just fine for checking in on things back home . The food ? Oh man , don’t get me started . I never thought I’d crave Egyptian lentil soup back in Kentucky , but here we are .

  26. Reba Lynn Gloster

Nothing prepares you for seeing the Valley of the Kings up close . But having a soft bed , air conditioning , and fresh hibiscus juice waiting back on board ? That’s luxury I didn’t expect . The crew handled everything so smoothly , even when my husband left his bag behind at a stop . They got it back like magic . Also , the on board boutique had the prettiest handmade silver I’ve ever seen .

  27. Eula Jean Gentry

We got to see Karnak Temple , swim under the stars , and dance with a couple from Spain on the upper deck . The Farida isn’t just a boat — it’s an experience , a floating palace with personality . I was obsessed with the tiled showers and plush robes . My husband was obsessed with the espresso machine near the reception . We still argue about which was more impressive

  28. Bo Erwin Thatcher

One morning I woke up early , drew back the curtains , and just watched Egypt float by while sipping tea . That moment alone was worth the trip . The cabins were spotless , the bed ridiculously comfortable , and the boat never felt crowded . I really appreciated how attentive the crew was without hovering . You get privacy but feel cared for — that’s a tough balance and they nailed it .

  29. Sherry Louanne Pike

Okay , full disclosure , I thought cruises were for retirees . Turns out , I was wildly wrong . I laughed so much on this trip — maybe it was the sunset cocktails or the random falafel eating contest we had on day three . Either way , this cruise had soul . And don’t get me started on the views during golden hour — I swear the Nile looked like liquid gold .

  30. Billy Darnell

The Karnak Temple tour blew my mind , but it was the little things aboard Farida that got me — soft jazz in the evening , clean towels that felt like clouds , a reading corner with books about Egyptian astronomy . One night we sat outside just listening to the river lap against the hull . No phones . No noise . Just peace .
