A modern Nile voyage wrapped in timeless Egyptian style
This wasn’t our first cruise , but it’s the first time we were truly impressed by the design and attention to detail . Alyssa doesn’t try to copy ancient Egypt — she just honors it in a subtle , tasteful way . We spent four days floating past history , sleeping in comfort , and eating like pharaohs . The upper deck became our second living room . There’s something meditative about watching feluccas drift past while sipping karkadeh under the Egyptian sky .

It’s like Egypt decided to float you gently through history
There’s something peaceful about being on the Alyssa — the design , the pace , the sense of quiet confidence in the way she moves . The staff were subtle but attentive , and the cabins were cozy and softly lit . We cruised in March , and the weather was just right for lounging on deck and watching the countryside go by . One evening , we passed banana plantations and locals waving from the shore . Felt like a movie set ! 🍌

Woke up in Aswan , lunched at Kom Ombo , slept near Edfu 😍
Alyssa had this perfect rhythm to it . Wake up with the sun over Aswan , stop for temple visits , then relax in the evening under a sky full of stars . The rooms were so comfortable , and you could tell someone took the time to think through every fabric and finish . No flashy distractions , just timeless design and smooth sailing . The mix of sightseeing and downtime was exactly what we needed .

From ancient temples to handmade carpets , a rich , textured journey
This cruise is more than a list of stops — it’s a layered experience . Every part of the ship was crafted to feel natural , elegant , and connected to the Nile . Even the wool carpets had a story . You could feel it walking barefoot through the hallways . The temples were stunning , of course , but so was the ship itself . We joined in January , and it was the perfect weather for day trips to the tombs .

We felt like Cleopatra and Caesar the whole way up the Nile 👑
We traveled as a couple , and I swear the whole vibe on the Alyssa had us feeling like royalty . The service was polished , the food was rich , and the setting was absolutely breathtaking . Our favorite moment ? Passing through Esna Lock under the stars with music drifting from the lounge . It was the perfect mix of old-world charm and modern class . If ships had personalities , Alyssa would be the elegant queen of the Nile .

A designer’s dream cruising through Egyptian history
I’m an interior design nut , so knowing Alyssa was crafted by a Swiss architect made me extra curious . Let me just say : wow . From the curved furniture to the harmonious colors that match the Egyptian landscape , everything felt handpicked . You could tell there was a story behind every carpet and chair . We went in April , and it wasn’t crowded at all . Loved the slow rhythm of the cruise and the detailed textures everywhere .

Sundeck memories , temple shadows , and Nubian breezes
This was more than just a cruise — it was a 4-day postcard. The sundeck was a dream, with stylish seating and views that belong in National Geographic. I spent hours just soaking in the Nile while the boat quietly sailed. There’s something surreal about seeing Kom Ombo or Philae Temple from your deck chair. Everything was smooth and serene. Alyssa didn’t feel touristy — it felt like home on the water. Oh, and the staff? Five stars 🌟

Luxor by moonlight and Aswan at dawn from a dreamy ship
We traveled in March and loved every minute of this four-day cruise. What made Alyssa so different wasn’t just the beautiful design, but how quiet and cozy it felt compared to other boats. We never felt rushed. Our room had a private feel with plush linens and wool rugs that added a warm touch. The nights were magical — soft lighting across the deck and the glow of Luxor in the distance. I still think about that moonlit moment passing Edfu Temple.

A colorful floating palace that respects the Nile’s spirit
This cruise isn’t your average boat ride. It’s a luxurious experience with a serious appreciation for Egyptian aesthetics. The color schemes on board felt pulled from a sunset over Karnak. Handmade carpets, soft lighting, even the woodwork — everything screamed custom-built elegance. I spent most mornings watching the riverbanks come alive as fishermen and birds started their day. It was peaceful and soulful. We learned so much about ancient temples without even leaving the sundeck. A perfect fusion of comfort and culture.

Sailing the Nile in style was something I’ll never forget
I had always imagined the Nile as something out of an adventure movie, but being on the Alyssa brought it to real life. The ship itself is a masterpiece — you can tell everything was designed with love and thought, not just pulled from a catalog. Our cabin had the softest wool carpets and big windows for watching Egypt go by. The deck was my favorite spot at sunset — sipping hibiscus tea while watching temples glide past. Totally unique from the usual cruise experience. We boarded in Aswan in February and ended in Luxor. So many memories in just 4 days 🌅
