  1. Day (1): Aswan / Herdiab Island – Temple of Isis

Day (1): Aswan / Herdiab Island – Temple of Isis Your journey begins in Aswan. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred from your hotel or the airport to begin your historical exploration. Morning/Afternoon: Visit the magnificent Philae Temple, the ancient center for the cult of the goddess Isis. This temple holds a romantic and majestic aura, having lured pilgrims for thousands of years. It was famously relocated by UNESCO between 1972 and 1980 to save it from the rising Nile waters—a modern engineering marvel. Late Afternoon: Transfer to the traditional Dahabiya sailboat. Settle into your luxurious cabin. Evening: Enjoy your first delicious lunch on board as the vessel begins its gentle cruise toward Herdiab Island. Night: Dinner and overnight on board under the stars.

  2. Day (2): Herdiab / Kom Ombo / Djebel Silsilah – Twin Temples and Ancient Quarries

Day (2): Herdiab / Kom Ombo / Djebel Silsilah – Twin Temples and Ancient Quarries Today focuses on key temples and exclusive historical stops that showcase the diverse architecture of the region. Morning: Enjoy breakfast on board while sailing to Kom Ombo. You will visit the unique Kom Ombo Temple, which stands on a scenic promontory overlooking a bend in the Nile. This is a rare dual temple, dedicated to two distinct deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the falcon god. Mid-day: A delicious lunch is served while the Dahabiya cruises toward Djebel Silsilah. Afternoon: Visit the historical site of Djebel Silsilah. Here, you will explore the Speos of Horemheb, a rock-cut chapel dedicated to Pharaoh Horemheb and seven deities, including the local god Sobek. You will also see the ancient sandstone quarry from which the stones for many of Egypt’s great temples were extracted. This exclusive stop is a highlight of a traditional Dahabiya trip.

  3. Day (3): Bassaw / Edfu / El Hegz – Local Life and The Best-Preserved Temple

Day (3): Bassaw / Edfu / El Hegz – Local Life and The Best-Preserved Temple Experience an authentic glimpse of modern Nile life before exploring one of Ancient Egypt's most intact structures. Morning: Enjoy breakfast while sailing towards Bassaw, an old fishing village nestled on the Nile. The Dahabiya will make a stop in this small village, which remains untouched by mass tourism. This allows for a direct interaction, devoid of commercial concerns, where you can even witness (and possibly try) the authentic fishing methods used by the ancient Egyptians. Mid-day: Lunch is served on board as you continue sailing. Afternoon: Visit Edfu Temple, the most completely preserved Egyptian temple in existence, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. This monumental structure, one of the last great Egyptian attempts at building on a grand scale, completely dominates the west-bank town of Edfu. Night: Dinner and overnight on board as you moor near El Hegz.

  4. Day (4): El Hegz / Esna – Farewell to the Nile

Day (4): El Hegz / Esna – Farewell to the Nile Your incredible 4-day Lazuli Karnak Dahabiya voyage concludes today. Morning: Enjoy your final breakfast on board while cruising leisurely toward Esna.
