  6. Eulah Mae Grigsby

From the moment we stepped aboard the Farah Nile Cruise , it was clear this wasn’t just a vacation – it was an experience woven with care.

The ship itself was a masterpiece , but the real charm came from its rhythm. Days flowed effortlessly from temples to tea time , evenings sparkled with laughter and soft oud music.

I particularly enjoyed our stop at Kom Ombo – learning about the crocodile god Sobek while standing where pharaohs once stood gave me literal goosebumps.

The staff were sweet as sugar and always made sure we had everything we needed. Also , did I mention the dessert buffet ? I may or may not have eaten four slices of basbousa in one sitting. No regrets.

  7. Orville Tate

Imagine this : sunrise over the Nile , coffee in hand , and the Valley of the Kings just around the bend. That was how we started our third day aboard the Farah.

Now I’m not usually someone who gets impressed by hotel rooms , but the deluxe cabin? Spotless , spacious , and had this calm color palette that made you feel right at home.

The cruise was a perfect length – long enough to get lost in history , but short enough to leave you wanting more.

Our stops were timed well – no rushing , no crowds , just a slow , respectful immersion into Egypt’s soul.

Also , their fresh mango juice? Liquid gold.

  8. Pearlene McCoy

There was something poetic about the way the ship glided along the water – smooth , quiet , respectful of the river. On board the Farah , I never felt rushed.

Each day felt like a fresh chapter in a history book , but with better food and linen service. I loved the intimacy of the cruise – not too big , not too flashy , just elegant and focused on the experience.

One night we had a themed dinner with Egyptian music and dancing , and I swear I laughed harder than I had in years. Even snapped a photo with the chef who made the best grilled eggplant I’ve ever tasted.

The days were rich with culture , the nights full of charm.

  9. Travis Boone

I’ll admit , I came for the temples – Karnak , Abu Simbel , all that – but I stayed for the dessert table. Every night they rolled out this mountain of sweets that nearly sent me into a sugar trance.

Farah Nile Cruise brought that perfect mix of comfort and curiosity. We’d hop off in the mornings for guided tours , then come back to chilled towels and cool lemon drinks.

Best part? I got to nerd out in Luxor while my wife lounged under an umbrella reading romance novels. Win-win. I even wore a fedora one day. Not a single person stopped me. That’s what I call freedom.

  10. Maybelle Hargrove

The blend of history and hospitality on the Farah Nile Cruise was unlike anything I’ve experienced. I’m usually more of a beach-and-book gal, but this floating hotel shifted my whole vibe. The rooms had this warm golden lighting that made every photo feel like a postcard.

One afternoon, I took a quiet walk around the deck while we sailed near Esna. The palm trees waved gently from the shore and birds flew so low over the water it felt choreographed. Our guide told us about the crocodile gods – I mean, come on! Crocodile gods?!

We spent our days touring ancient wonders and evenings relaxing like royalty. The spa on board was a hidden gem – deep tissue massage with Nile views? Yes please. I slept better here than I do back home in Georgia.

Luxor Temples In The Morning , Sunset Over Aswan At Dusk

Let me paint the picture. You’re sipping cool mango juice, the sun’s setting behind palm trees, and in the distance – ancient temples that survived millennia. That was my Tuesday on the Farah Nile Cruise.

This cruise was pure balance – part luxury, part learning, and part laughing ‘til your stomach hurts. The air conditioning was a gift from the gods (bless whoever invented that). Everything was perfectly timed – early temple tours, back on board for lunch, then lounging like pharaohs until dinner.

They even had an onboard library, which I didn’t expect. I flipped through a book on hieroglyphs while the Nile whispered outside. It’s not something you forget. Ever.

From Memphis (Tennessee) To Memphis (Egypt) – What A Ride

So here’s the deal – I’m a history buff with a weakness for five-star sheets. Farah Nile Cruise managed to satisfy both.

The cabins were plush, clean, and came with those lil’ chocolate mints I adore. Every time we stepped off the ship, it was like time traveling – one day it’s Karnak, the next it’s Philae Temple. The guide on board was full of fun facts and jokes, made learning about mummies and dynasties actually exciting.

The ship never felt crowded, which is something I appreciated. Plenty of places to read, journal, or sip mint tea in peace.

  13. Delbert Honeycutt

Floating Palace With Bathtubs , Ancient Gods , And Dessert Feasts

Now this here’s a tale of comfort and curiosity. I hopped on the Farah with my brother Earl, and we were both blown away. Our cabin had more amenities than my cousin’s new condo in Nashville. LCD screen, safe box, chilled minibar – but what stole the show? That deep ol’ bathtub.

After a day exploring Edfu Temple, nothing felt better than a long soak and watching the sun melt into the Nile. The dining? Let me tell you – those buffets were borderline sinful.

But my favorite part? Sitting on the sundeck at night, feeling the breeze and thinking about how Ramses himself might’ve once floated these same waters. Goosebumps, y’all.

  14. Marlene Sutterfield

Five Thousand Years of History Out My Window Every Morning

This wasn’t your average vacation – it was a full-on experience. Waking up in our Royal Suite aboard the Farah Nile Cruise felt like waking up in a movie set. You open the curtains, and bam – the temples of Luxor are practically waving good morning.

I loved the way the cruise was set up – cultural excursions in the morning, chilled vibes in the afternoon. The ship had this quiet elegance about it, like it respected the river it sailed on. Also, shoutout to the staff for remembering our tea orders every time.

The entertainment nights were a hoot – we even learned a few belly dance moves (poorly, but with enthusiasm). Between the historical sites, the food, and the laughter, I don’t think we stopped smiling once.

  15. Cletus Rayburn

The Nile Views Were Better Than Any TV Show Back Home

We sailed from Luxor to Aswan, but I swear the real journey was inside my soul. This boat didn’t just float – it glided like a dream across time. The Farah Nile Cruise had this effortless class to it – everything from the marble floors to the linen napkins whispered luxury. Our deluxe cabin was cooler than a Kentucky breeze in April, and the bathtub… y’all, I could’ve soaked for hours with that Nile view.

At night, we sat up top sipping hibiscus tea under the stars. The staff? Polite, polished, and always a step ahead. There was one moment during sunset over Kom Ombo when I forgot every stress I ever had. Internet connection was strong, but honestly, I barely used it. Who needs Instagram when the actual pyramids are your background?

There’s something deeply humbling about floating past temples older than time. If you’re someone who gets excited about ancient gods and golden statues (and who isn’t?), this trip hits different.

  16. Bessie Faye Merritt

Y’all , if Cleopatra had central air , it’d feel like this cruise.

I strutted around the Farah like royalty – staff always smiling , service top-notch , and the decor ? Regal but not stuffy.

At Karnak I found myself whispering out of respect , even though no one was around. That’s how powerful the place is.

Oh , and I accidentally learned some Arabic – turns out “shukran” goes a long way when you’re grateful 20 times a day.

  17. Merle Dean Rowland

This wasn’t just a cruise. It was eight days of golden sunsets , ancient echoes , and real conversations with folks from all over the world.

My favorite moment? Watching the sunrise over Karnak Temple from our cabin window , wrapped in one of those plush robes they provide.

There’s something about seeing thousands of years of history up close while knowing a cappuccino is waiting for you back on the boat.

    Balance , baby.

  18. Lorene Wiggins

As a retired schoolteacher , I can say this trip was a dream. Walking into temples I used to teach about felt surreal.

Kom Ombo’s twin gods , the mummified crocodiles , the medical carvings – it’s one thing to read about them , it’s another to stand there in person.

The cruise was smooth , luxurious , and gave us time to reflect between excursions. I even started sketching again after years.

Egypt has a way of waking up your spirit.

  19. Delbert Nash

I don’t normally travel this far – closest I’ve been to Egypt is a mummy exhibit in Memphis. But the Farah Nile Cruise made me feel right at home.

Our room had the softest chairs I’ve ever sat in – I took naps I didn’t know I needed.

Each morning we got fresh juice and strong coffee before setting off to see places that looked like scenes from a movie. But better.

    The Nile isn’t just a river – it’s a storyteller.

  20. Wanda Sue Petty

The people made the difference. Everyone on the Farah – from the reception to the waiters to our history guide – treated us like family.

We had a birthday on board (not mine) and they surprised her with cake and singing in Arabic. It was beautiful.

The boat itself felt upscale but not snobby. Everything sparkled. Everything smelled nice.

And the Nile at sunset? Pure poetry. I took about 300 photos , none of them do it justice.

  21. Virgil Puckett

Best Cruise Food Since My Aunt’s Thanksgiving Potluck

Let me say it plain : the chef on the Farah knows what he’s doing. I had lamb tagine so tender it whispered secrets.

Meals were events. Buffets for days , but also refined dishes you’d find in a five-star city spot. And they didn’t skimp on portions either – this country boy ate very well.

Between meals , we explored ancient tombs with colorful walls and learned about gods with falcon heads. Then I came back for banana cake.

  22. Ruby Lou Kinney

Woke Up To Temples , Slept Like Royalty , Ate Like A Queen

From Edfu to Luxor , the sites were stunning – but the real surprise was how relaxed I felt throughout. Farah staff seemed to read my mind. My iced hibiscus drink would magically appear right when I needed it.

Our guide was incredibly insightful , sharing stories that brought the hieroglyphs to life. I felt connected to Egypt in a way I didn’t expect.

At night , the air cooled , lanterns lit up the boat , and I’d sit outside journaling with a view that artists would envy.

  23. Cletus Rayburn

History , Hospitality , And The Best Shower Pressure On The Nile

Let’s talk details , y’all. The Farah Nile Cruise nailed it. From the comfy bedding to the towel sculptures that greeted us daily (yes , actual towel art) , everything was intentional.

I’ve got a bad back , and let me tell you – their mattresses? Perfect. After walking through the Valley of the Kings , I came back , hit that hot shower , and nearly cried tears of comfort.

Plus , there’s Wi-Fi on board. I sent a selfie with a sphinx to my niece in Oklahoma – she thought I was green-screened.

  24. Luanne Dillard

Danced With Nubian Drummers And Sailed Like Cleopatra

There’s a moment I won’t forget : standing on the top deck , the wind in my hair , as we passed traditional feluccas. Someone was playing drums on shore. I felt like I had time-traveled.

The Farah team hosted a Nubian night with music , dance , and storytelling. I joined in – badly – but with heart. The laughter and community on board made it feel like a family reunion in a faraway place.

The royal suite we stayed in? So luxurious I felt guilty stepping in with my dusty sandals.

  25. Jethro Wallace

Cabin Views , Ancient News , And My Favorite Pair Of Sandals

I’ve been to a lot of places – Yellowstone , Grand Canyon , even Dollywood – but nothing quite prepared me for the elegance and ancient magic wrapped into this cruise.

The Farah Nile Cruise felt like a living storybook. Waking up each morning to the slow motion of the Nile , with palm trees passing by and calls to prayer echoing softly , was a spiritual experience.

Our tour of Philae Temple was unforgettable. We took a small boat over at sunset – the pink sky , the water , the towering columns – it gave me chills. The fact that I was back in my cabin 45 minutes later enjoying mint tea in air conditioning? Priceless.
