Legendary site with a first-class flight experience from Aswan
I’ve wanted to see Abu Simbel since I was a kid, and flying there made it feel like such a treat. Our small group moved through the site easily, had great views of the lake, and even had time for snacks before flying back. Honestly, I didn’t expect to love the flight part as much as I did — the views over the desert were incredible. Beautiful, seamless experience from start to finish.

  21. Hank Collier

We were picked up early but everything went like clockwork. Short flight, no crowds at the site, and then BAM — there we were, standing in front of Abu Simbel. The temples are unbelievable in person. So much bigger and more detailed than I expected. Even got a few selfies with the statues (they’re huge). The best part? We were back at our hotel by noon. Adventure + luxury all the way 🛩️

  22. Cassidy Monroe

Flying to Abu Simbel was probably the best logistical choice of our whole Egypt trip. We avoided a super long road journey and still had time to enjoy breakfast AND lunch in Aswan. The temples themselves are stunning — like something out of a movie. The view of Lake Nasser added a peaceful backdrop. Smooth trip, rich history, and zero stress.

  23. Dustin Rayford

The flight from Aswan was fast and actually really scenic. We got to Abu Simbel just as the light hit the statues perfectly. I’m talking prime photo-op material 😍 The temples were bigger than I imagined and had so much intricate detail. The guide explained their relocation from the flooding — which made me appreciate it even more. We were back at the hotel before lunchtime. Smooth experience with a powerful cultural punch.

  24. Shelby Kincaid

This was such a clever itinerary. Flying to Abu Simbel saved us hours and gave us more time to actually enjoy the site. It’s surreal seeing these temples in person. They feel like something from a dream, carved directly into the desert cliffs. Loved having plenty of time for photos, quiet moments, and a slow walk through the site. We flew back and still had the afternoon free. Loved every minute of it 💛

  25. Travis Boone

From the moment we stepped onto the plane, it felt special. The flight was short but smooth, and suddenly we were standing in front of one of the world’s most iconic temples. Abu Simbel is MASSIVE — those statues of Ramses II towered over us like gods. We had time to walk through the cool, shaded interiors and admire the carvings in detail. What struck me most was how peaceful the whole experience was. Not rushed, not crowded. A smooth blend of luxury and history.

  26. Jolene Whitaker

If you’re like me and don’t love long road trips, this flight was a lifesaver 😅 Abu Simbel was everything I hoped for and more — the statues, the hieroglyphics, the lake — just breathtaking. And we were back in Aswan before 2pm! It felt so luxurious, yet adventurous at the same time.

  27. Wyatt Riggins

Egypt’s timeless wonder by air — smooth and surreal morning adventure
Taking a flight instead of a car made all the difference! This was our favorite day of the trip. The moment we landed at Abu Simbel and saw those giant statues, I was speechless. The temples are enormous and carved straight into the rock… how did they even do that 3,000 years ago? Flying back meant we still had energy left to explore Aswan later that day. Honestly, it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime morning adventure.

  28. Lacey Mayfield

I’d always heard that Abu Simbel was amazing, but this flight trip made it SO easy. No hours on the road, no exhaustion. We flew in, got there before the crowds, and enjoyed the temples in peace. The rock carvings were mind-blowing. Our guide gave quick, fascinating bits of history that made it come alive. Then it was back to Aswan in time for a relaxed lunch. Smooth, fun, and deeply memorable.

Flying to Abu Simbel was a breeze and totally worth it
The early morning flight from Aswan to Abu Simbel felt like a VIP experience. We boarded a very comfortable plane with surprisingly good service for such a short flight. Once we landed, the real magic started. The temples were just… wow. You could literally feel the ancient history in the stone. Standing there, overlooking Lake Nasser, I almost forgot I was in 2025. It’s like time stood still. And then, boom — back on the plane and back to Aswan with enough time to chill by the pool at our hotel. Totally smooth, totally unforgettable ✈️
