We got seven ancient cities in just eight beautiful days
It’s crazy how much we saw without feeling burned out. Cairo, Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Alexandria all felt like different worlds, yet the whole tour had this steady flow. Loved the group vibes, and the guides made even the long drives entertaining with fun facts and jokes. 🚌

Luxury meets history from Cairo to Aswan
Every hotel we stayed at had real comfort, from soft beds to rooftop views. The cruise ship had full meals, good drinks, and even a small spa. But we were still diving into the depths of ancient culture every day. It’s the best kind of mix if you ask me. Ancient statues by day, pampered by night.

Getting face to face with the Sphinx was a childhood dream
I still can’t believe I stood next to the Sphinx. The guide told us about its missing nose and the theories behind it which was super fun. 🐪 Also saw the pyramids of Giza up close, and climbed a few stones (carefully!). I felt like I was in one of those National Geographic specials I watched as a kid.

We covered a lot but never felt rushed or exhausted
I was worried that 8 days with so many cities might feel hectic, but the pacing was just right. From Giza’s pyramids to Luxor’s Karnak temples, it felt like each place had its own chapter. The early starts were worth it and the AC coaches helped a lot. The balance of activity and downtime worked out well.

Kom Ombo was the most unique temple I’ve seen yet
Seeing the dual temples dedicated to Sobek and Horus was a real treat. Especially with how the building is perfectly symmetrical! I loved hearing the stories about crocodiles and falcons. Our guide made the mythology come to life and even pointed out the ancient surgical tools carved into the wall. Wild stuff.

Alexandria gave the whole journey a Mediterranean twist
Just when I thought I’d seen it all, Alexandria threw a curveball. The coastal vibe, the ancient Library site, and the Citadel by the sea were all picture-perfect. The seafood we had was some of the best I’ve ever tried. It’s neat how the tour ends on a breezy note after the temples and tombs.

Our Nile Cruise between Edfu and Kom Ombo was relaxing perfection
Cruising down the Nile was like entering a dream. We had a sunny deck, great food, and really cozy cabins. Edfu Temple was a big highlight with those towering columns and carvings of Horus. Then Kom Ombo had this spooky but awesome crocodile mummy museum. 🐊 The combination of culture and chill time was perfect.

Getting lost in Alexandria’s history was the perfect finale
Our last stop in Alexandria was the cherry on top. The Roman theater, the Citadel, and the view of the Mediterranean gave the trip a different color. It was cooler there too, which felt nice after the southern heat. So many cultures in one place—it made me want to read more when I got home.

A perfect mix of culture, views, and relaxation along the Nile
The cruise along the Nile was exactly what we needed between the intense temple visits. Great food, a rooftop pool, and killer sunsets. But we still got out and saw places like Edfu and Kom Ombo. There was always something new, but it never felt rushed. 🛶☀️

Exploring Luxor’s tombs and temples felt like a real-life adventure
Walking down into those ancient tombs with paintings still bright after thousands of years was something else. Valley of the Kings felt like sacred ground. Then Karnak Temple blew me away with its sheer size. I’ve never felt so small and fascinated at the same time.

Smooth transport, comfy hotels, and a seriously cool guide
You’d think a trip like this would mean a lot of stress, but nope—every transfer was smooth, and the hotels were honestly nicer than what I expected for this price. Our guide had this great sense of humor, too, which made even long drives fun. We were in good hands the whole way.

I geeked out completely at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo
There were so many mummies and ancient artifacts, I didn’t know where to look first. Seeing Tutankhamun’s golden mask in person was something I’ll never forget. Also appreciated how our guide gave just the right info without overwhelming us. Everything was clearly explained

The temples at Abu Simbel were massive and emotional
Nothing prepared me for the scale of Abu Simbel. The statues are huge, sure, but it was the precision and power in the carvings that really struck me. It’s crazy how they relocated the entire thing. I felt tiny in the best way, like part of something timeless.

Each city had a different flavor and mood we truly appreciated
Cairo was buzzing, Luxor was majestic, Edfu mysterious, and Alexandria romantic. This tour had a rhythm. We’d go from loud bazaars to peaceful river scenes and always had something fresh to explore. Also loved that we got little surprises like local snacks and a Nubian dance night. 🎭🌍
Buck Lee Garrison –
Philae Temple felt like stepping onto a movie set
Philae was built on an island, so we took a boat to reach it. That alone made it feel like an adventure. But once we got there—wow! The carvings were so detailed and the structure was just impressive. Our guide told us how it was relocated from another island. That blew my mind!

I still can’t believe we saw the pyramids and the Nile in one week
Where else can you ride a camel near the pyramids and then sip tea while floating down the Nile? The tour took us from epic deserts to green riverbanks, and the pace was never too much. Everything was handled smoothly, and the Nile cruise was a five-star experience in itself. 🐫⛵
Willis John Rayford –
Temple of Karnak at sunset was simply a jaw-dropping experience
We arrived in Luxor just in time to catch the golden hour at Karnak Temple, and man… that light hitting those massive columns? Unreal. The guide explained how it was expanded by generations of pharaohs, and I loved seeing how each section told its own story. Felt like walking through a 3D encyclopedia of ancient glory.
