I never imagined I’d be standing inside a tomb older than Jesus while wearing cargo shorts and holding a frappuccino. But here we are. 😎
Every day brought something totally new—from the majesty of the Pyramids to the scholarly elegance of the Alexandria Library.
Luxor and Edfu were cultural explosions, and the boat from Luxor to Aswan was a peaceful glide through palm-lined landscapes.
Abu Simbel might just be the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed. Period.

Talk about packing a punch!
We saw the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Alexandria’s library, King Tut’s tomb, flew across the country, rode trains, floated the Nile, and ended up at the foot of Ramses II.
The best part? Never once felt rushed. We had time to sip mint tea in Luxor, chat with locals at Aswan’s bazaar, and snap sunset pics over the water. 📸
My highlight was Kom Ombo Temple—dual gods, river breeze, and real crocodile tales.

This was the only trip where I got sunburned, full, and emotionally overwhelmed—all in the best way. 😂
Cairo’s buzz was electric. Alexandria was more chill. But Luxor? That’s where I fell in love with ancient Egypt. The temples at Karnak and Luxor lit up at night looked straight out of a video game.
Our cruise from Luxor to Aswan was smooth and stylish. Big bonus for the evening shows and surprise belly dance performance!
And if you ever need a humbling experience, stand under the statues at Abu Simbel.

Imagine floating past palm trees and ancient ruins while lounging in a deck chair with a fresh mango smoothie in hand. Yeah, that’s what we did. 🧉
The itinerary was loaded but not overwhelming—Cairo’s ancient hustle, Alexandria’s coastal breeze, Luxor’s golden tombs, and Aswan’s serene Nile scenes all rolled into one unforgettable week.
And Edfu? That place has stairs that whisper stories.
Abu Simbel made me gasp. Literally.
Luanne Dorsey –
Wanna ride a felucca down the Nile while staring at temples from 3000 BC? Then you’d love this!
Every day felt like a plot twist. One moment I’m admiring the geometry of the Pyramids, next I’m hanging out in a Nubian village dancing to drums.
Edfu’s Horus Temple was a standout—it felt untouched by time. The cruise food was five-star delicious (shoutout to the lamb tagine), and my room had Nile views I could stare at forever.
Abu Simbel might just be the most awe-inspiring site I’ve ever seen. 💥

You think you know Egypt from TV until you stand under a 70-foot statue and realize… nope, you didn’t know a thing.
Cairo introduced us to ancient engineering, but Alexandria added elegance and intellect. That modern library made me want to be a scholar, even if I was wearing flip-flops.
Then Luxor and Aswan turned the trip into a full archaeological treasure hunt. Our guide even acted out scenes from Egyptian mythology, which made things super fun. 😂
Highly recommend doing the early-morning balloon ride—it’s quiet, golden, and unreal.
Darla Sue –
I always imagined Egypt being dry and dusty—and sure, there’s sand—but wow was this trip glamorous. From Giza’s pyramids straight to the Alexandria Library, the transitions were smooth and stylish.
Our flights between cities were short and scenic, and the accommodations along the Nile felt straight out of a luxury catalog.
Kom Ombo Temple, with its crocodile mummies, was such a fun twist. I never thought I’d be laughing while looking at preserved reptiles.
This tour is like National Geographic meets five-star resort life.

So many surprises on this journey! First of all, the cruise itself? Spotless cabins, shimmering chandeliers, and a sundeck where I sipped hibiscus tea watching the Nile drift by like a dream. 🛳️✨
Temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo felt like ancient movie sets, and the local guide had a joke ready for every ruin. Even our driver had a playlist that mixed traditional Egyptian music with 80s hits. Who knew Ramses II pairs well with Phil Collins?
Abu Simbel though… that’s not just a highlight, it’s a whole other level.

Each Stop Felt Like Stepping Into a Different Century
I’m not sure what I expected, but this trip turned out to be a full-blown time machine. One minute we were cruising past modern Cairo traffic, the next we’re face-to-face with 4,000-year-old carvings.
Alexandria’s seaside breeze was a welcome break, but Luxor? That place is a historical gold mine. We climbed into King Tut’s tomb and saw the famous golden sarcophagus (spoiler: it’s way smaller than I thought).
The temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo were beautifully lit at night, and the hot air balloon ride over Luxor was one of the most thrilling things I’ve ever done.
Abu Simbel was the finale and man, that place deserves a standing ovation.
