Cairo was warmer than just the weather — people greeted us like we were old friends. The Giza plateau was as dramatic as we hoped, and the camel ride was more fun than expected (though I did squeal a few times 😂). We had hammam spa treatments that left us feeling like marshmallows, then explored souks full of brass lamps and spices. The whole week was a spicy-sweet blur of love and laughs.
Clint Maynard –
Cairo gave us pyramid chills and hotel thrills. Each site came with a wild story — from the curse of Tut to Cleopatra’s eyeliner secrets. Our guide knew all the juicy stuff. I liked the mix of ancient ruins with high-end stops. One day we had lunch in a palace-turned-restaurant with chandeliers and pomegranate juice. Can’t believe how much we saw in just five days.
Jolene Tiller –
What a way to start married life! We dove into five jam-packed days that somehow never felt rushed. The schedule was tight, but the pace felt natural. I didn’t know I could learn so much about mummies and hieroglyphs while still having time for naps and iced drinks. Our hotel had a rooftop terrace perfect for late-night talks. Cairo has this way of making history romantic.
Floyd Riggins –
There’s something magic about Cairo at night. We wandered markets that smelled like cardamom and rosewater, holding hands like teenagers. The trip was well-paced and cozy, with a guide who felt more like a friend. One night we had dinner on a boat on the Nile — lanterns, live oud music, and the kind of quiet that makes you stare at your partner and think yep, I picked right.
Delia Boone –
Riding a camel beside my husband while the pyramids loomed behind us was the most “Egypt” moment ever. We stayed in a plush suite that had rose petals sprinkled on the bed (not kidding). Each day was a mix of sightseeing and chilling. Spa treatments in the afternoon and local food at night. I especially loved visiting the old mosques and learning how each ruler left their mark. Felt like floating between ancient and modern worlds.
Billy Hankins –
This wasn’t just a history tour. It was a full-on love letter to Egypt. We explored Coptic churches, climbed minarets (sort of), and danced with strangers at a wedding parade in the street! 🤣 The people are warm, the food is flavorful, and every moment felt wrapped in culture. Big shoutout to our hotel near Zamalek — super stylish with insane Nile views. The whole thing had this cozy-luxe vibe, like backpacking with five-star service.
Lorene Pratt –
Honestly? Cairo surprised me. The pampering started from the first airport pickup — velvet seats, cool AC, and someone holding our name. The day we visited the Sphinx was hot and hilarious. Our guide joked nonstop and helped us take goofy photos pretending to kiss the giant cat. Evenings were all about candlelit dinners and rooftop vibes. Loved the Nile breeze and the hotel’s spa tub. I still dream about that honey-soaked baklava.
Tanner Boyd –
If you’re into old stones, loud markets, and snuggly nights — this Cairo honeymoon thing is gold. Every corner had a story. We giggled through narrow alleys in Khan El Khalili, tried on silly hats, and drank sugarcane juice till we were bouncing off the walls. What hit me most was how alive the ancient sites felt. The Citadel, the Sphinx, even the papyrus place — all unforgettable. The guide knew his stuff but still kept things light and fun.
Bonnie McClure –
We didn’t expect Cairo to be this romantic. From the minute we stepped out of the airport, everything felt top-tier. The private driver, the well-spoken guide, and the hand-picked sites were just perfect. My favorite moment? Cruising around Old Cairo, munching dates while gazing at medieval gates and mosques. We stayed in a charming boutique hotel with Nile views — totally dreamy. The tour pace was ideal, with room for spontaneous strolls and desserts.
Earl Simmons –
Our Cairo honeymoon trip turned into an unexpected historical adventure. The pyramids? Even grander than we imagined. Watching the sunrise with my partner while the pyramids glowed gold was like stepping into a dream. We rode in a luxury air-conditioned car with a fantastic guide who made ancient history sound like a soap opera. I’m not a museum guy, but the Egyptian Museum was crazy cool. Everything about the 5 days felt well-organized and pretty luxurious — clean hotels, cozy beds, delicious breakfasts. Pro tip: pack light and bring comfy shoes.
