This was the perfect mix of culture , adventure , and luxury
Every part of the trip had a different flavor . Cairo was ancient and intense , Alexandria felt coastal and European , the cruise down the Nile was chill and historical , and Hurghada was a beach escape . It felt like four vacations in one . And all of it wrapped up with clean hotels , comfy rides , and great guides who were funny , informative , and patient with our million questions . Egypt really knows how to show you a good time
Tessa Monroe –
Hurghada gave us beach days and dolphin play
After the history-heavy start of the tour , relaxing in Hurghada was just what we needed . The resort had pools , palm trees , and beach loungers for days . But the real highlight was the dolphin snorkeling trip . We actually swam near wild dolphins and saw starfish and sea turtles . It felt like being inside a National Geographic episode . So much fun , and totally unexpected 🐬💦
Hank Dillard –
Luxor’s temples turned me into an ancient Egypt nerd
Before this trip , I couldn’t tell you the difference between Ramses and Tutankhamun . After Luxor ? I’m ready to give a TED Talk 😄 The scale of Karnak and Luxor Temples blew my mind . Walking through the Hypostyle Hall felt like being swallowed by stone — in a good way . And Valley of the Kings ? Wow . We saw real tombs with colors still vibrant after thousands of years . Our guide connected the dots in a way that brought everything to life 🏺
Nancy Whitaker –
The transport was smoother than I expected
We covered a lot of ground in 15 days but never once felt exhausted . From modern buses with AC and Wi-Fi to domestic flights that saved us hours , everything was thoughtfully planned . Even the cruise transfers were seamless . I normally dread long travel days but somehow this itinerary made it feel easy . That gave us more energy to actually enjoy the sites instead of collapsing at the hotel
Colton Reeves –
Old Cairo was like stepping into a different world
There’s nothing like wandering through the narrow alleys of Old Cairo , where every turn brings you to a different church , mosque , or bustling souk . I picked up some beautiful hand-painted ceramics and tried sugarcane juice from a street vendor that was oddly refreshing . The Hanging Church was a real standout — peaceful and full of history . The guide’s knowledge made this part of the trip one of the most memorable
Lana McCoy –
Unexpected charm and epic seafood in Alexandria
We almost skipped the Alexandria part but thank goodness we didn’t ! It felt like a mix of Greece , Italy , and ancient Egypt with its own rhythm . Walking the seaside Corniche , visiting the new Bibliotheca Alexandrina , and exploring the catacombs were so different from Cairo . Lunch by the harbor included grilled calamari that I still dream about . The city had a laid-back vibe that balanced the intensity of the more historic stops perfectly 🐙🌊
Raymond Brooks –
Abu Simbel at sunrise is worth every early wake-up
The wake-up call was brutal (3 AM !) , but watching the first light hit the colossal statues at Abu Simbel was nothing short of sacred . You just stand there and wonder how people 3 , 000 years ago managed this engineering miracle . The transport was super comfy — we napped both ways — and our guide knew exactly where to get the best photo angles . My phone battery was crying by the end because I just couldn’t stop filming 😅
June Harper –
From pyramids to paradise on the Red Sea coast
If you’ve ever wanted to time travel and scuba dive in the same vacation , this one’s for you . The contrast between dusty pharaoh tombs and the underwater gardens of Hurghada was wild . I had never snorkeled before but the colors of the fish blew my mind ! The hotel in Hurghada was right on the beach , had a spa , and the breakfast spread could feed an army . Highly recommend the glass-bottom boat for folks who want the reef view without getting wet 🐠☀️
Eli Thompson –
Cruising the Nile like Cleopatra with a camera
We were sailing down the Nile with the sun setting and feluccas drifting by — it honestly felt like a scene from a movie . The boat was beyond comfortable , food was amazing , and the staff remembered our names after day two . Four nights of this floating paradise , stopping to explore temples older than some countries . Our guide explained the stories behind Kom Ombo and Edfu in a way that kept even my teenage son interested . Major win there 😂
Willow Carter –
Exploring the ancient wonders and cruising in luxury through Egypt
I still can’t believe how much we managed to see in just 15 days without ever feeling rushed . From standing in awe beneath the Pyramids of Giza to cruising the Nile like royalty aboard a floating five-star hotel , every moment felt like stepping into a living museum . One of the best surprises was Alexandria — a coastal gem full of Roman ruins , Mediterranean charm , and great seafood . Hurghada was a different kind of magic — white sand , coral reefs , and fresh breezes that made you forget all your worries . And don’t get me started on Abu Simbel . The temples are massive and surreal , like something out of a dream . Everything from the air-conditioned coaches to the well-picked hotels made this journey smooth and top-class
Mary Ellen Cartwright –
This was more than a vacation—it was a full-on journey through time and space (with Wi-Fi). Our cruise ship looked like a floating boutique hotel. The temple at Abu Simbel literally left me speechless, which says a lot because I usually talk non-stop. One of my favorite parts was watching the sunset from the boat deck after a long temple tour. Peaceful, powerful, and something I’ll never forget 🌅
Dwayne Elkins –
What a ride! One day we were sailing past lush green banks of the Nile, and the next we were inside a tomb that hadn’t seen sunlight in thousands of years. The transition between modern comfort and ancient awe was seamless. Our driver in Alexandria knew the best seafood joint on the coast and our hotel room had ocean views I’d frame if I could.
Peggy Lou Simmons –
I felt so taken care of throughout the trip. Even when we were climbing ancient staircases or wandering tombs, the pace was perfect. We had air-conditioned vans with Wi-Fi, chilled water, and even phone chargers (bless them). I loved learning about Egyptian gods and queens during the museum tour in Cairo—gave me a whole new appreciation for eyeliner.
Travis Dean Monroe –
This tour was like flipping channels between National Geographic and the Travel Channel. The pyramids were even bigger than I imagined—just unreal. But what really hit me was the personal connection the guide gave us to each location. In Hurghada, I tried scuba diving for the first time. Nearly swallowed my snorkel but saw a sea turtle so it was worth it 🐢
Loretta Sue Franklin –
As someone who’s always loved ancient history but also wants clean sheets and hot showers, this trip hit the jackpot. From seeing the Pyramids in person to relaxing in Hurghada with a cold drink, every day offered something new. Abu Simbel was majestic. Truly. I cried when I saw it. And then I cried again when I saw the dessert spread at dinner.
Bobby Ray McCoy –
Y’all, I saw mummies by day and ate shrimp by the sea at night. That’s what I call balance. Alexandria was way cooler than I expected—it had this old-school Mediterranean vibe and a stunning library that made me wish I’d studied more. Our group bonded quick, and by day 10 we were joking around like cousins at a BBQ. Egypt wasn’t just beautiful—it was surprisingly fun. Plus, the hotel staff everywhere treated us like royalty 👑
Tammy Jo Hill –
The blend of luxury and legacy in this tour was magic. We stayed at top-tier hotels in Cairo and Hurghada, and that cruise ship? Five stars on a boat! Every morning I woke up feeling like Cleopatra minus the drama. We walked through the Valley of the Kings one day and lounged at the beach the next. I’ve never had such variety in one vacation. Our transport was smooth, cool, and on time—major points for not baking us alive in the desert.
Hank Ledbetter –
I never thought I’d ride a camel, dive with clownfish, and touch stones older than my grandpa all in the same trip. But here we are. This tour was packed tighter than a Thanksgiving turkey. The desert drive on the way to Abu Simbel was wild—I half expected to meet Indiana Jones. But it was smooth and super well organized. Hurghada gave us that beachy escape right when we needed it. Crystal-clear water, snorkeling with parrotfish, and zero emails? Heavenly 🐠
Darla Mae Turner –
The Nile Cruise part of this trip? Absolutely unforgettable. Picture sipping mint tea on a private balcony while drifting past ancient temples that look straight out of a Hollywood set. Every room on the cruise ship was spotless and had AC strong enough to freeze a camel. I still dream about the buffet. Each stop—from Kom Ombo to Edfu—was packed with stories that gave me goosebumps. Our guide could recite Egyptian history better than I can remember my own kids’ birthdays.
Clyde Jefferson –
Whew! Where do I start? This 15-day adventure was like mixing a history book with a luxury vacation and a dash of National Geographic. We kicked off in Cairo where the pyramids were so majestic, they almost made me drop my iced latte from the hotel breakfast buffet. The overnight train to Aswan was surprisingly comfy (and no, I didn’t snore… much). Cruising down the Nile for four days felt like being in a movie—especially with sunsets that made my wife cry (in a good way). Hurghada was a total switch-up with turquoise waters, colorful fish, and one overly-friendly seagull. Alexandria was breezy and cool with Greco-Roman vibes all over. By the time we hit Abu Simbel, I was about one falafel away from never coming home.
