    Day 01: Arrival in Aswan, City Sightseeing, and Cruise Embarkation Upon arriving in Aswan, a representative from Luxor And Aswan Travel will meet you, assist with your luggage, and transfer you to your Lake Nasser Nile Cruise vessel for embarkation and check-in. Lunch will be served onboard the ship. In the afternoon, join your expert Egyptologist tour guide to explore the key highlights of Aswan. Your tour includes the High Dam, a monumental project erected by President Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 A.D. to control the Nile's annual flood. Afterward, you'll take a scenic motorboat ride on the Nile River to Agilika Island to visit the magnificent Temple of Philae. This temple, dedicated to the powerful goddess Isis (mother of the god Horus), dates back to the Greco-Roman period and was meticulously relocated to its current island home. Your final stop is the Unfinished Obelisk, a colossal block of red granite dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, which offers fascinating insight into ancient Egyptian stoneworking techniques.     Day 02: Kalabsha Temple, Beit El Wali, and Sailing to Wadi El Sebou After Breakfast onboard your ship, you will meet your guide for an excursion to two remarkable Nubian temples. You will first visit the Temple of Kalabsha. Located with a view of the High Dam, this temple was moved from its original location 30 miles south after the dam's construction. Its construction began late in the Ptolemaic Dynasty and was finished under the Roman Emperor Augustus, resulting in an intriguing mix of Egyptian and Roman iconography. The temple was dedicated to the local Nubian god Mandulis. Next, you'll visit Beit El Wali, a smaller but equally important rock-cut temple (speos) built by Ramesses II. This temple, rescued from Lake Nasser by a joint Polish-Swiss-American team, features a unique cruciform plan and contains detailed reliefs, carved mainly from the surrounding rock. Following the visit, return to the cruise ship for refreshment and Lunch. The vessel will then sail to Wadi El Sebou, crossing the Tropic of Cancer along the way. The Arabic name means "Valley of the Lions," referencing the avenue of sphinxes that leads up to the temple built during the reign of Ramesses II. Although relocated in the 1960s, this site remains a vital monument. After returning to the ship for Lunch, the boat will sail to Amada. Here, you will visit the Amada Temple, which holds the distinction of being the oldest monument around Lake Nasser. Dating from the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, it predates both Ramesses II and Abu Simbel by approximately two centuries. The Citadel of Kasr Ibrim was once a formidable city situated high above the Nile, but it now appears dramatically as an island following the construction of the Aswan High Dam. The cruise then sails to Abu Simbel. After Lunch onboard, you will visit the world-famous Abu Simbel Temple. Built on the west bank of the Nile between the first and second cataracts, this site features two temples carved into a mountainside by Pharaoh Ramesses II. Following the decision to build the new High Dam in the 1960s, the temples were meticulously dismantled and relocated in 1968 to a plateau 64 meters (about 200 feet) above their original site, which is now submerged.
