  1. Day 01: Embarkation and the Majesty of Abu Simbel

Day 01: Embarkation and the Majesty of Abu Simbel Your extraordinary journey begins in Abu Simbel. Our representative will collect you from your hotel or the Abu Simbel airport and transfer you to your Lake Nasser Cruise ship for embarkation and check-in at 1:00 P.M. Lunch will be served shortly after you settle in. In the afternoon, you will visit the iconic Abu Simbel Temple. This site, originally carved into a mountainside on the west bank of the Nile, contains two colossal temples built by Pharaoh Ramesses II (1303–1213 B.C.). Following the decision to construct the High Dam, the temples were famously dismantled and relocated in 1968, 64 meters above and 180 meters west of their original site, which is now submerged. After returning from this incredible visit, you’ll enjoy Afternoon Tea onboard the cruise for relaxation and refreshment. Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by overnight docking. Optional Evening Experience: Don't miss the fascinating Sound & Light Show at Abu Simbel Temple. This optional show utilizes melodious music and vivid projections to bring the ancient world to life, transporting you to the time of the pharaohs and demonstrating how the temples once looked. It’s an unforgettable experience presented in multiple languages. Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner

  2. Day 02: Sailing to Hidden Temples of Nubia

Day 02: Sailing to Hidden Temples of Nubia A morning of scenic sailing and exploration of smaller, historically crucial temples awaits. Enjoy Breakfast onboard your cruise. You will have an early sail toward Kasr Ibrim. You will view Kasr Ibrim from the Sundeck—entrance to the site is restricted. This citadel was once a formidable city towering high above the Nile River, but today it dramatically appears as an island due to the Aswan High Dam's construction. Lunch will be served as the cruise continues sailing. In the afternoon, you'll join your guide to visit the Amada Temple. Originally built by Pharaoh Thutmose III during the 18th Dynasty, it features additions and decorations from his successors, Amenhotep II and Thutmose IV. You will also visit the Temple of Derr, another fine example of Ramesses II's preferred rock-cut style. What makes this temple a treasure is its original position on the eastern shore of the Nile, a rare placement for structures of that time. Finally, visit the Tomb Of Pennut, a rock-cut tomb belonging to a Viceroy of Kush that was also meticulously relocated to save it from the flooding. After a full day of touring, return to your cruise for a cocktail party and a delightful Nubian show performed by the staff. Dinner will be on the cruise, followed by overnight docking. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  3. Day 03: The Valley of the Lions and Sail to Aswan

Day 03: The Valley of the Lions and Sail to Aswan Explore a fascinating complex of temples before enjoying a relaxing sail to your final destination. Start your day with Breakfast onboard. You will have an early visit to Wadi El Seboua. This area is home to several relocated ancient sites, including two New Kingdom temples, the Temple of Dakka, and the Temple of Maharraqua. Visitors often start at the famous "Valley of the Lions," a sphinx-lined avenue leading to the older temple, which was built by Amenhotep III and dedicated to a Nubian version of the god Horus. The rock-cut temple still features an intact brick pylon, courtyard, main hall, and some admirable ancient paintings. Lunch will be served on the cruise. Afterward, the cruise will begin its final, relaxing Sail to Aswan. Dinner will be served on the cruise, with overnight docking in Aswan. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  4. Day 04: Kalabsha Temple and Disembarkation

Day 04: Kalabsha Temple and Disembarkation Your journey concludes with a visit to a magnificent Roman-era temple. Breakfast will be served onboard your ship. Later, you will join your Egyptologist tour guide to discover the Temple of Kalabsha. Located conveniently near the High Dam, this temple is often the final stop on the cruise. It was moved from its original location 30 miles south. The temple's construction began at the end of the Ptolemaic Dynasty and was completed under the Roman Emperor Augustus. This unique history results in an interesting blend of imagery that includes Roman emperors and pharaohs worshipping with Egyptian gods. The temple was dedicated to the Nubian god Mandulis. Following the visit, you will check out from your cruise, and our representative will transfer you to your accommodation hotel in Aswan. Meals Included: Breakfast

The Grandeur of Ancient Nubia: Featured Attractions

The dedicated itinerary of the Nubian Sea Nile Cruise 4 Days focuses on visiting the monumental temples that were saved from the rising waters of Lake Nasser by a remarkable UNESCO relocation project in the 1960s. These sites, accessible only by a Lake Nasser cruise, offer an astounding look into the reign of Ramesses II and the devotion to the Nubian gods.

Principal Tourist Attractions:

  1. Abu Simbel Temple: The undisputed highlight. Marvel at the two massive rock-cut temples, one dedicated to Ramesses II and the smaller one to his beloved Queen Nefertari. This site, a testament to ancient engineering and modern preservation efforts, is guaranteed to leave you awestruck. The option to attend the Sound and Light Show here often adds a magical dimension to the experience.
  2. Kalabsha Temple: Located near the Aswan High Dam, this beautiful temple is one of the largest free-standing temples in Nubia. Originally dedicated to the Nubian solar god Mandulis, its complex reliefs and monumental pylon are essential viewing on the Nubian Sea Nile Cruise.
  3. Beit El Wali: A beautifully preserved rock-cut temple that was one of the smaller structures saved. Dedicated primarily to Ramesses II and the gods of Aswan, it contains vibrant and detailed reliefs of the King’s military campaigns, offering a fantastic insight into his imperial ambitions.
  4. Wadi El Seboua: Known as the “Valley of the Lions” due to the avenue of sphinxes that once led to its entrance. This temple, dedicated to Amun and Ra-Horakhty, perfectly showcases the blend of rock-cut and free-standing architecture, a unique feature of the ancient Nubian landscape.
  5. Amada Temple: As the oldest Egyptian temple in the Lake Nasser area, Amada Temple’s significance cannot be overstated. It provides a deeper historical context for the region, featuring some of the best-preserved and vibrant wall paintings in all of Egypt.
  6. Kasr Ibrim Citadel: While access to the site is restricted, the Nubian Sea Nile Cruise provides a unique sailing view of the Kasr Ibrim Citadel from the sun-deck. This former island fortress, now a dramatic ruin visible above the lake’s surface, was an important site for centuries.
