Let’s just say I cried a little when we docked for the final time. M S Al Fostat gave me more than a trip—it gave me a story. One filled with sunrise meditations on a gently rocking boat, elaborate meals under the stars, and moments of connection that feel rare in our rush-rush world. The Nile gives, but this cruise knew how to receive it and share it back in luxury, laughter, and unforgettable scenes.

  2. Cletus Ray Harlan

Every evening on this cruise felt like a soft exhale after a day of wonder. The decor leaned toward subtle opulence—ivory linens, rich wood tones, soft lighting that made every selfie look like a painting. We stopped at Dendera, a lesser-known temple, and I was floored by the zodiac ceiling. The guides never rushed us. Instead, they lingered with us in shadowy sanctuaries, letting history breathe.

  3. Shirley Jean Trammell

I came for the history, stayed for the laughter. Whether it was the hilarious guide in Aswan explaining hieroglyph puns or the impromptu dance night with guests from five countries, M S Al Fostat turned strangers into storytellers. I took a thousand photos, but none quite captured the joy of sipping hibiscus tea on the upper deck while watching fishermen wave from papyrus boats. Luxor to Aswan never felt so alive.

  4. Willard Dean Purdy

Mornings on the Nile were crisp and poetic. We’d rise to birdsong and the gentle hum of the river. Our room aboard the M S Al Fostat faced east, so the sunrise spilled directly into our suite. There was a sense of being held by time, especially while floating between Luxor and Esna. The artful details on the cruise—from hand-painted ceramic mugs to personalized itinerary notes—felt like love letters to each guest.

  5. Nancy Mae Guthrie

Our highlight? A surprise cooking demo on the top deck featuring Egyptian koshari. We stirred, we laughed, we learned. The M S Al Fostat cruise wasn’t just sightseeing—it was soul-feeding. My daughter loved the towel art shaped like crocodiles (seriously, adorable), and I couldn’t get enough of the temple guides who told tales like seasoned storytellers. From Hatshepsut’s temple to banana boat rides, it was a journey packed with flavor and fun.

  6. Bobby Joe Hankins

I expected pyramids and pharaohs. What I didn’t expect was gourmet cheesecake and poolside mint tea under a sunset that looked like fire meeting honey. M S Al Fostat wasn’t just about history—it was about indulgence. My partner and I relaxed in our plush suite after exploring Esna’s temples. By nightfall, we were stargazing on the sundeck with quiet jazz playing somewhere in the background. I still hear it when I close my eyes.

  7. Ruth Ann Whitmore

The staff aboard M S Al Fostat were smoother than the Nile itself. They greeted us like returning family, always with warm towels and warmer smiles. When we arrived in Luxor, the rush of history felt almost cinematic. Luxor Temple after dark? Simply spine-tingling. We danced to Nubian music one night and marveled at the constellations above. I even tried falafel for the first time—10/10! For those who love ancient lore with a side of luxury, this was just our kind of ride.

  8. Wyatt Clemens

This cruise knew how to blend thrill with history like a master chef seasoning an unforgettable dish. We hopped off to explore the Valley of the Kings under a blazing blue sky, then returned to cool linens and air-conditioned bliss. The ride itself was smooth as velvet. One morning I stood at the bow with coffee in hand, gazing at the desert waking up across the Nile. There’s something magical in that quiet before the tour guides begin their lively stories.

  9. Clara Belle Tomkins

Sunsets on the deck of the M S Al Fostat felt like sipping gold from the sky. Our three-night journey from Luxor was a tapestry of color, comfort, and ancient wonder. One standout memory was sailing toward Edfu while enjoying fresh mango juice and the soft strumming of traditional oud music. We giggled over hieroglyph trivia with fellow travelers and gasped in awe at the Temple of Kom Ombo. Every hallway of the cruise ship whispered elegance, every meal was a page from a gourmet cookbook.

  10. Jebediah Brooks

Wandering through Luxor’s ancient landmarks aboard the M S Al Fostat Nile Cruise felt like time-travel with a luxury upgrade. Each day, we glided past temples that have whispered stories for millennia, all from the comfort of our sleek, modern vessel. The cabins were far beyond expectations—think boutique hotel floating on a river of legends. Karnak Temple stunned us with its colossal columns, and the onboard staff made our evenings feel like a five-star retreat. This journey didn’t just meet our expectations; it rewrote them.

Golden sands , ancient hands , and endless Nile wonders This wasn’t just a trip – it was a passage through time. AL Fostat let us walk with pharaohs by day and relax like royals by night. The onboard service was spot-on. From Luxor , we drifted into temples , tombs , and tales whispered by guides who knew how to bring mythology alive. Our cabin had those soft , dim lights that made the whole place feel cozy after sunset. One afternoon we even took a felucca to a small island where kids played soccer in the sand. Pure joy.

  12. Trula Jean Wickersham

A luxury liner that brings Egypt’s legends to life This cruise made me feel like Cleopatra with WiFi. AL Fostat was the perfect mix of lavish and laid-back. I adored the spa sessions after dusty temple tours – totally revived me. The temples at Luxor and Edfu were spellbinding , especially under that soft golden light. My favorite part ? Evening boat rides under a sky full of stars , feeling both small and endlessly lucky. Oh , and shout out to the mango smoothies – life-changing!

  13. Gus Ellsworth

Temples , tan lines , and tales from the mighty Nile Our cruise with AL Fostat felt like living inside a Discovery Channel special – but with better food and a comfier bed. From Luxor , we visited sites that made our jaws drop. Kom Ombo at sunset was unreal. The ship itself was like a palace : marble floors , velvet cushions , gold trim. The staff knew your name by day two. They even had a small library with Egyptology books. One night we sat with locals in a village stop , drinking tea and laughing with no common language. Real connection.

  14. Bo Riggins

Serenity , spices , and sacred spaces on the Nile I’ve never felt so centered. AL Fostat isn’t just a boat – it’s a floating retreat. Sailing from Luxor , we found peace in the daily rhythm : breakfast , excursion , relaxation , repeat. The temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo felt like sacred portals. The crew was caring without hovering. I spent afternoons journaling on the deck with hibiscus tea in hand , letting the wind carry my thoughts. We even did a sunrise yoga session on board. A nourishing journey in every sense.

  15. Lula Mae Brackett

A glamorous glide along Egypt’s heartstring of history We had high hopes and they were exceeded. AL Fostat offered more than sightseeing – it delivered an atmosphere. From Luxor’s towering temples to the serenity of the open water, every moment felt curated. Meals were candlelit and exotic. Our room came with a balcony and fresh lotus flowers. The cruise also had little surprises – like henna art stations and cooking demos. Exploring Aswan on foot after gliding there in luxury gave the whole journey a storybook touch. Perfect for anyone wanting a bit of glam with their adventure.

  16. Eldon Ray Proctor

Cultural immersion meets Nile-side bliss in this floating gem There’s a rhythm to life on the Nile, and AL Fostat taps into it like a melody. We joined the cruise from Luxor during a breezy February week and were swept into a journey of colors, flavors, and stories. One minute we were snapping selfies at ancient temples, the next dancing to traditional beats onboard. The staff made sure everyone felt at ease. Our suite was modern yet tastefully Egyptian. I was especially charmed by the nightly cultural programs – we even tried a little dabke! Great mix of education and entertainment.

  17. Leanne Whitmore

A smooth journey through Egypt’s golden river of kings From the moment we boarded in Luxor, it felt like we were floating through a museum. AL Fostat knew how to blend storytelling with indulgence. The sun deck was our favorite hangout – watching feluccas pass and birds skim the water. The Valley of the Kings left us speechless. Rooms were sparkling clean and styled with Middle Eastern flair. It never felt like a rigid tour; there was always room for spontaneous laughter and discovery. Whether learning about Hatshepsut or just enjoying the spa, it was all gold.

  18. Royce Darnell

Unforgettable temple-hopping days and soft-lit Nile nights We did this cruise between January and April and it hit the sweet spot between weather and crowd levels. AL Fostat floated like a dream – not once did we feel rushed. The visits to Kom Ombo and Esna were pure magic. The guide’s storytelling painted vivid pictures of ancient rituals and gods. Afternoons were spent lounging with mint tea and papyrus crafts. Nights? Think candle-lit dinners with live oud music in the background. The ship felt like a boutique hotel with a moving postcard outside. Luxurious, peaceful, and just adventurous enough to keep our curiosity fired up.

  19. Marla Jo Finnegan

Floating through history while soaking up comfort and sunshine There’s just something magical about waking up to the Nile outside your window. We boarded the M/S AL Fostat in Luxor and were instantly charmed. The blend of cruise comfort and Egyptian culture was striking. Every site visit was a story come to life – Edfu’s temple felt like a movie set. The sunrises were cinematic. Our room had polished wood, soft sheets, and a vibe that screamed vacation mode. And the food – oh man – the buffet was a little party of spices each night. They even had a falafel corner! It wasn’t just travel, it was transformation.

  20. Dale Hankins

Sailing Luxor’s timeless beauty with modern-day luxury on the Nile The M/S AL Fostat Nile Cruise delivered a seamless blend of ancient mystique and present-day indulgence. From the moment we stepped on board in Luxor, the cruise felt like stepping into an oasis of elegance. The rooms were surprisingly spacious with panoramic windows, and the rooftop deck offered surreal views of temples and villages passing by. Sailing past Karnak and Luxor temples while sipping cold hibiscus juice felt unreal. We also loved how every evening had entertainment – think belly dancing and Nubian music under the stars. The staff made us feel like royalty without being too formal. Definitely the kind of trip that makes you forget time exists.
