  1. Day 1: Aswan – Philae Temple and Sailing to Herdiab

Day 1: Aswan – Philae Temple and Sailing to Herdiab Your luxury Dahabiya journey begins with a private pickup from your hotel or Aswan Airport. Your first excursion is a visit to the magnificent Philae Temple, the ancient center for the cult of the goddess Isis. This iconic temple complex was famously relocated by UNESCO between 1972 and 1980 to save it from the rising Nile waters, maintaining the majestic and romantic aura that has lured pilgrims for millennia. Following the tour, you'll be transferred to the Dahabiya for embarkation and your first lunch onboard as you begin cruising towards Herdiab. Enjoy a peaceful dinner and overnight stay on the water. (Meals: Lunch, Dinner)

  2. Day 2: Twin Temples and Quarry Secrets

Day 2: Twin Temples and Quarry Secrets Savor breakfast onboard while sailing to the picturesque bend of the Nile where you'll find Kom Ombo Temple. This unique site is a dual temple dedicated to two separate deities: Sobek, the local crocodile god, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). Built during the Ptolemaic period, the temple stands on a promontory where, in ancient times, sacred crocodiles would bask in the sun. Afterward, you will enjoy lunch while cruising to Djebel Silsila (Gebel el-Silsila). Here, on the west bank, you’ll explore the Speos of Horemheb, a rock-hewn chapel dedicated to Pharaoh Horemheb and seven deities, including the local god Sobek. This area is the site of an ancient quarry, allowing you to see where temple stones were extracted for centuries. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  3. Day 3: Local Life and the Temple of Horus at Edfu

Day 3: Local Life and the Temple of Horus at Edfu The day starts with breakfast while sailing towards Bassaw, an old fishing village along the Nile. You will make a stop in this small community, which remains largely untouched by mass tourism, offering a rare opportunity for direct, authentic contact with local life, devoid of typical mercantile considerations. There is even the possibility to try traditional fishing methods used by the ancient Egyptians. After lunch, your Dahabiya continues to Edfu for a visit to the Temple of Horus. As the most completely preserved Egyptian temple, this monument is considered one of the last great Egyptian attempts at monument building on a grand scale. The modern town of Edfu, a center for sugar and pottery, crowds around the temple's enclosure wall. You'll moor for a comfortable overnight stay at El Hegz. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  4. Day 4: Sailing to Esna and Departure for Luxor

Day 4: Sailing to Esna and Departure for Luxor Enjoy your final breakfast onboard as the Dahabiya makes its final sail towards Esna. Upon arrival, you will disembark and be transferred by private car for the short drive to Luxor, marking the end of your intimate and luxurious Nile voyage. (Meals: Breakfast)
