  1. Day

Day Late afternoon, our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor, and transfer to the Nile side, where your Felucca is waiting for you journey. Board your boat and relax on the soft cushions. Experience the peace and tranquility of the Nile water that has been the lifeblood of Egypt since Pharaonic times. Enjoy a cool drink as you gently glide down the river. Watch the real Egyptian life pass by and enjoy the fantastic scenes that have not changed in millennia, the children playing in the water, the camels and donkeys, the farmers going about their work in the same ways they have done for centuries, and admire the water buffalo and a wide variety of birds. The felucca will sail to the Banana Island "an Island covered with banana plantations" the boat captain will berth the felucca off the island and take you on a short exploratory tour of the island, where you’ll be offered a refreshing cup of traditional Egyptian tea and some of the sweetest, most delicious bananas you have ever tasted. Continue sailing and watch the sun sets slowly over Luxor West Bank, take in the scenes of life around you as you sail along the Nile, back to the Nile side and then transfer to your hotel in Luxor.

  11. Sally Jo Breckinridge

This wasn’t your average boat ride. It was slow , thoughtful , and full of simple beauty. From the way the boat rocked gently , to the quiet lapping of the Nile , to the delicious bananas on the island — every little part added up to something bigger.
Our guide had this chill vibe , like he’s been doing this since birth. And maybe he has.
We didn’t rush. We didn’t talk much. We just felt everything. And that , to me , is what real travel’s all about.

  12. Bo Henry Millstone

The Felucca Ride didn’t feel like a tour — more like an experience shared by old friends. Our guide was awesome , giving us just enough information to paint a picture but leaving room for the peace to settle in.
Banana Island had this sweet , rustic charm. We sat under a tree and just listened to the birds while sipping tea.
And the way the sun dipped behind the hills? Straight outta a painting.

  13. Loretta Sue Holbrook

We had three generations on that boat , and not one person wanted to leave. My mom kept talking about how peaceful it was , while my son asked a million questions about how the sails worked.
It was the kind of trip where nobody checked their phones. Even Banana Island was a hit — lots of shade , tasty fruit , and some friendly locals who showed us how they grow the bananas.
Highly visual experience — one of those you carry in your heart more than your camera roll.

  14. Jethro Coleman

I’ve always loved boats , but this one stole my heart. Something about the Nile at dusk , the gentle creak of the wood , and the guide’s laid-back storytelling made it unforgettable.
I liked how personal the experience felt. Just us , the river , and the sky. Banana Island added a nice contrast — lively greenery , curious goats , and tea that tasted like spice and sun.
My favorite part? That moment when we turned back and the light shimmered off the water like a moving mirror.

  15. Sharla Mae Jenkins

This was our last night in Luxor , and the Felucca Ride ended it on a magical note. The guide greeted us with a warm smile and told us how feluccas were used since ancient times. It felt like we were stepping into the past , but the comfy seating reminded us it was still 2025.
Banana Island was lush , and the fresh fruit there actually tasted different — like it had more sunshine in it.
By the time we floated back , the sky had turned purple and the stars were starting to twinkle. My husband doesn’t usually gush , but even he said it was “kinda poetic.”

  16. Earl Huckleby

Sunset , bananas , and a sail — the perfect hour in Luxor

I’m not a “tour guy” usually , but this one? I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
We met our captain at the dock and hopped on a little wooden felucca with a triangle sail that danced with the wind. It moved slower than I expected , which turned out perfect. It gave us time to just… look. At the sky. The hills. The birds. The old houses with laundry flapping in the breeze.
We landed on Banana Island for fresh fruit and hot tea , and then sailed back with the last rays of sunlight. No stress. No phones. Just vibes.

  17. Daisy Lynn Cartwright

A sunset sail soaked in history , charm , and calm

The Felucca ride was one of those quiet highlights that sneak up on you. It started with a gentle glide through the water as the city buzzed behind us. Once we were mid-river , it felt like another world. No cars , no people , just waves lapping and soft conversation.
Our guide was friendly but not overbearing , letting us enjoy the ride while sharing a few tidbits about Luxor’s riverside temples.
Banana Island was fun , especially for my two kids who got to eat fruit straight from the trees. The tea? Surprisingly soothing.
It’s one of those memories I keep going back to.

Felucca ride was pure serenity mixed with sweet bananas

We didn’t think much when we booked this ride, but it turned out to be one of the best hours we spent in Egypt. There’s something about being on a wooden sailboat with no motor noise, just wind and water. The felucca was private and comfy, and our guide had stories for days.
Banana Island is tiny but charming. We had a few laughs with the locals, tasted bananas that were literally cut in front of us, and tried their homemade herbal tea.
The sunset was unreal, casting a golden glow over Luxor’s hills and temples. Honestly, my phone photos look like filters were added—but that was all nature.

Magical moments on a timeless felucca in Luxor

The moment I stepped aboard that white-sailed felucca, something inside me slowed down. It was peaceful, but not boring. The captain was kind and explained the route, while we leaned back on colorful cushions and watched the Nile turn gold.
Our guide pointed out a few old structures across the river, and I felt like I was drifting through history itself.
Banana Island was a nice surprise. Super green, quiet, and the bananas tasted way better than the ones back home. The Egyptian tea was earthy and smooth, perfect for that cool twilight breeze.
It felt like a dream sequence from a movie about Egypt—except we were in it.

  20. Billy Ray McAllister

Sailing on the Nile while the sun set felt like floating in a postcard

We booked the Felucca Ride just before sunset, and I swear—my soul still hasn’t come back from that sky. Our captain adjusted the sails as the orange horizon melted behind the palm-fringed West Bank. The river moved like honey, smooth and timeless. We glided past fishermen tossing their nets and kids waving from the shore.
When we reached Banana Island, the smell of fresh bananas hit us before our feet did. We got a little tour, picked some ripe ones straight from the trees, and sipped Egyptian tea under a thatched roof like royalty on vacation. The vibe? Relaxed but curious. The breeze was perfect, and there were zero crowds. No honking, no hustle. Just water, wind, and wonder.
If you’re into quiet magic and boats with character, this ride is something else.

  21. Tess Lou Randall

The Felucca Ride wasn’t flashy — and that’s why it was unforgettable. It wasn’t about entertainment , it was about presence. Being still. Watching the land shift as the wind pushed us slowly forward.
Banana Island was cute and casual — lots of greenery and a slow rhythm that matched the boat’s mood.
If your heart needs a reset , this ride will do the trick.

  22. Burl Travis McKinney

I went on this felucca ride thinking it’d be a photo op — ended up with a full-blown spiritual experience. The water , the colors , the quiet movement — it stays with you.
Banana Island gave it a bit of playfulness , and those bananas were next-level good. But honestly , the boat ride itself? That was the soul of it.

  23. Dottie Mae Flannery

You ever take a tour that feels like therapy? That was this. The boat had no motor , just canvas catching wind and hearts catching peace.
Banana Island wasn’t huge or flashy — but it didn’t need to be. The guide let us pick fruit , sip tea , and sit in the silence a bit.
I left that ride feeling lighter.

  24. Willis Hank Corbin

We were barely out of Luxor before the sounds faded and the Nile took over. The boat swayed slow , the colors of the sunset dipped into the water , and all the worries I came with just… floated off.
Banana Island gave the ride a sweet little break. The people were kind , the bananas juicy , and the vibe was pure countryside.
    Nothing fancy — just perfect.

  25. Clarabelle “CJ” Morton

From the first second on the boat , it felt like everything in the world slowed down. The Nile glistened , the sail flapped like a lullaby , and even the air felt special.
Banana Island was small but full of charm — trees drooping with fruit , chickens clucking in the background , and tea that warmed me from the inside out.
It was exactly what I didn’t know I needed.

  26. Virgil “Buck” Donnelly

Not your average tour — this one moves the soul

I’m a big guy who doesn’t usually do “quiet activities” , but this felucca ride changed my tune. The whole thing felt… ancient , in the best way.
The guide barely said a word unless you asked , and that suited the moment perfectly.
Banana Island was cute and homey — kind of like visiting someone’s farm. Best bananas I’ve ever eaten , no lie.
If you’re looking for loud fun , skip this. But if you want to feel something , this is it.

  27. Luanne Hartley

A breeze in the sails , a banana in hand , and peace in the heart

There’s something sacred about the Nile , and this boat ride brought me close to it. We sailed quietly , like ghosts through history , with warm wind on our cheeks and temple silhouettes in the distance.
Banana Island was fun — goats , green paths , a little hut with strong , sweet tea. It’s simple but pure.
If I could bottle the feeling I had on that boat , I’d carry it with me forever.

  28. Otis Rayburn

From the Nile’s hush to island smiles , this trip surprised me

Didn’t expect this to be such a standout , but the Felucca Ride turned into one of those rare travel memories you actually remember. The guide was calm and kind , the boat gentle and proud.
At Banana Island , the pace slowed even more. Fresh bananas , mint tea , and just enough chatter with locals to make you feel human again.
I wish more tours were this chill.

  29. Nadine Lorelle Garrison

A peaceful sail , sweet fruit , and sunset worth a thousand words

This ride hit me right in the feels. No engine , no stress , just wind in the sails and sun on our faces. We barely spoke — not because we weren’t enjoying it , but because we were too busy soaking it all in.
Banana Island added a nice little detour — earthy paths , green trees , and fruit so fresh it still had morning on it.
A must-do if you love quiet moments that last long after you’ve left.

  30. Harlan Dewitt McGraw

An hour of wind , water , and golden light on the Nile

I’ve been on river cruises before , but this felucca ride felt more soulful. There was a stillness to it that made you listen deeper — to the creak of wood , the rustle of palm trees , the stories our guide shared.
Banana Island was lush and sweet-smelling. We picked bananas , watched ducks wander around , and even met a cat who seemed to live like a prince.
The return ride at dusk? Just breathtaking. I could’ve stayed on that boat all night.
