This tour gave us access to two of the most fascinating places I’ve seen in Egypt . At Edfu , I kept looking up — the structure is so massive and elegant .

Kom Ombo made me pause . Between the medical carvings , the twin deities , and the riverside location , it just felt sacred . The guide helped us imagine what life was like back then — and I walked away feeling like I’d just time-traveled 🕰️ .

  20. Bobby Dale Hensley

We went from myth to myth , temple to temple , and everything in between . Edfu was powerful and full of meaning — I didn’t realize how much symbolism the Egyptians packed into every wall .

Kom Ombo had this dual-god thing going that made it feel balanced and symmetrical . It even had ancient carvings of medical tools ! The guide made us laugh but also taught us a lot . It was the best history lesson I’ve ever had .

  21. Millie Sue Compton

Although this tour was focused on temples , we got some lovely views of the Nile along the way 🌊 . Edfu felt regal , with its long courtyard and columns taller than houses . Our guide joked that the falcon god Horus still watches over tourists .

At Kom Ombo , I loved the small museum with crocodile mummies — it was creepy and cool at the same time . The whole place had this magical feeling , especially with the Nile breeze blowing through .

  22. Earl Ray Pritchett

We were in Luxor for just a few days , and this trip was the perfect way to see more of Egypt’s depth . The drive along the Nile was scenic and relaxing . At Edfu , I was amazed at how tall and intact everything was .

Kom Ombo was built right beside the river , which gave it a peaceful energy . Seeing where the priests used to walk , and how each wall tells a story , made it more than just sightseeing . I left feeling like I knew the gods a little better .

  23. Ruby Ann Lowry

Edfu Temple is one of those places that makes your jaw drop . We entered through the giant pylons and were instantly surrounded by scenes of offerings , rituals , and gods carved with unbelievable precision . I couldn’t stop taking pictures .

Kom Ombo had its own unique charm — with twin halls , crocodile statues , and the Nile right beside us . It felt like a sacred space where history still whispers in the wind .

  24. Curtis Dean Waller

It wasn’t just sightseeing — it was storytelling . At Edfu , we learned all about Horus and the battle with Seth . The guide explained it like a mythological soap opera and kept us laughing 😂 .

Kom Ombo was equally fascinating — a dual temple that actually tells the story of balance between two forces . One of my favorite things was seeing the ancient medical instruments carved into the wall . The past is so alive in Egypt !

  25. Sadie Belle Garrison

From pickup to drop-off , this was smooth sailing . We loved how clean and luxurious the vehicle was — leather seats , chilled water , and even a USB port to charge my phone .

Our guide gave us a great intro to both temples before arrival , so we knew what to look for when we got there . Edfu was grand and elegant , while Kom Ombo had more of a sacred , mysterious feel . Both were unforgettable in their own ways .

  26. Willard Joe Mercer

We’ve been to a few temples in Egypt but nothing hit like Edfu . You walk through the gates and suddenly you’re in a world of gods , symbols , and ancient power . The ceiling was still painted in parts — how did that survive ?

Kom Ombo had this mysterious vibe , with carvings related to medicine and crocodile mummies . Yes , actual mummies of crocodiles 🐊 . The guide was clearly passionate about history and answered every question like a pro .

  27. Jolene Mae Briscoe

I knew Egypt had ancient stuff , but this tour made it personal . Edfu’s Temple of Horus is huge , and the details in the walls are jaw-dropping . I kept staring at the falcon god statues — they look like they’re watching you 👀 .

Kom Ombo was a total surprise . Two gods in one temple ? Yes please . One side for Sobek , the other for Horus the Elder . It’s crazy how symmetrical and symbolic it all is . Our guide made it fun and even pointed out a tiny carving of a surgery tool from ancient times !

  28. Beau Ray Caldwell

A history-packed journey from Luxor with zero hassle

We were picked up from our hotel right on time and taken in a clean , modern van with comfy seats and air-conditioning (a blessing in the Egyptian sun ☀️) . The drive along the Nile Valley was peaceful and full of scenic views . Edfu Temple was majestic — it’s so well preserved that you feel like the gods might walk out at any moment .

Later at Kom Ombo , the carvings of the crocodile god Sobek were both beautiful and spooky . Our guide made it all come alive with stories that were easy to understand but full of depth . Loved every minute
