Next, we take a motorboat ride to Temple of Philae, which was relocated to Agilkia Island. Built in the 3rd century BC, it was the principal cult center for the goddess Isis in the Greco-Roman era. Our final visit is to the Unfinished Obelisk, found in the granite quarry in Southern Aswan, showcasing ancient stone-cutting techniques. After the tour, we return to the cruise ship for a tasty lunch. The evening is free, with another opportunity for the (optional) Sound & Light Show at Philae Temple.
