Following your visit, return to the ship to enjoy a delicious lunch while sailing further south towards Aswan. Our first visit is to the High Dam, an impressive engineering feat constructed by Gamal Abdel Nasser to control the Nile's water and generate a large volume of electricity. Next, we take a motorboat ride to Temple of Philae, which was relocated to Agilkia Island. Built in the 3rd century BC, it was the principal cult center for the goddess Isis in the Greco-Roman era. Our final visit is to the Unfinished Obelisk, found in the granite quarry in Southern Aswan, showcasing ancient stone-cutting techniques. After the tour, we return to the cruise ship for a tasty lunch. The evening is free, with another opportunity for the (optional) Sound & Light Show at Philae Temple. It was constructed by the Ptolemies in the 3rd century BC for the worship of the falcon god Horus. Afterwards, we return to the ship to enjoy lunch while sailing towards Luxor. The evening is free to relax and enjoy the extended sailing process. Overnight onboard.


  7. Day 07: Friday – Luxor's West Bank (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Next, we visit the beautiful Temple of Deir El Bahari, constructed by Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's greatest rulers. Our final stop is the Colossi of Memnon, the only remaining statues of the great funerary temple of Amenhotep III. We then return to the ship for our final dinner and overnight stay.
