This cruise gave us the chance to explore one of the world’s oldest civilizations without giving up modern comforts. The cabins were lovely, the sun deck was heavenly, and the pool bar was always stocked.
Evenings were quiet and romantic, especially watching the stars reflect on the Nile. It felt ancient and timeless all at once.
Our guide brought temples to life with stories, and the ship gave us space to absorb it all. It was more than a trip – it was a little piece of magic.
Merle Houston –
Waking up to the sun rising over the riverbanks of Egypt is something I didn’t know I needed. The view from our Juliet balcony was like a movie.
The Tulip Cruise had all the little comforts – cold towels after dusty tours, comfy beds, and warm smiles from the crew.
One night, we had a themed dinner with Egyptian music and dancing. I may or may not have tried belly dancing after one too many mango juices 🍹. No regrets.
Lacey Bell McGraw –
Let’s just say Cleopatra never had satellite TV and fresh croissants delivered every morning 😄.
The MS Tulip surprised us in the best way. Sleek design, friendly service, and a lovely mix of culture and chill. We especially enjoyed the pool bar – a great place to unwind after long walks through ancient ruins.
They even had a hair dryer in the cabin. Very important for desert humidity.
Earl Donnelly –
Every day felt like a mini-adventure. One morning we were exploring the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, and by afternoon, I was in the sauna detoxing from too much falafel 😂.
The MS Tulip balances history with comfort better than I thought possible. I loved the staterooms – clean lines, strong AC, big beds, and panoramic views.
My wife loved the gym, I loved the tea. Simple pleasures while drifting through thousands of years of human history.
Marla June Weatherby –
So we got to Karnak Temple, and I turned to my husband and said, “This place makes our barn look tiny.” 😂
The Tulip Nile Cruise was an unexpected delight. I mean, I expected old monuments and nice weather – not full-blown spa vibes and a sun deck that felt like a rooftop bar in the sky.
What I appreciated most was how easy everything was. Smooth boarding, clear schedules, and lots of opportunities to learn about the ancient gods and Pharaohs without it ever feeling like school. The guides were sharp, funny, and full of stories.
Travis Delroy Green –
There’s nothing quite like watching Egypt’s ancient landscape glide by while your feet are up and your tea is hot. That’s the Tulip Nile Cruise for you.
The crew runs the ship like a well-oiled machine, but with personality. From the welcome towel sculptures to nightly entertainment, there’s a rhythm to the whole journey.
The Terrace Suites are a real step up – I’d sit outside for hours in the evening, reading and enjoying the breeze. The trip included stops at famous temples, but also gave us space to relax. This balance really worked for me.
Jolene Crick –
We cruised from Aswan to Luxor in early March and the MS Tulip became home within hours. The boat isn’t huge, but that’s what makes it feel personal. Only 40 rooms, and every single one beautifully modern.
My sister and I especially loved the sun terrace. There’s a pool, bar service, and no shortage of sunshine. It’s also a great place to admire the calm, green Nile shores and random camels on the horizon 🐫.
Breakfast was a daily highlight – fresh mango juice, eggs made to order, and cheerful morning greetings from the staff. One day we even got a surprise local market tour before visiting Kom Ombo Temple. We loved the spontaneity!
Dwight M. Penner –
From the first moment we stepped onboard the Tulip Nile Cruise, it was clear we were in for something special. Our stateroom had a panoramic window that turned every sunrise into a postcard moment.
What stood out to me the most was the staff’s attention to detail. I casually mentioned it was my birthday and that evening, I found a slice of cake in our room with a handwritten note. Classy touch!
Exploring Luxor’s Karnak Temple and then returning to a cool, quiet ship felt like the perfect balance of history and indulgence. I’m a bit of a sauna fanatic, so having one on board was a pleasant surprise.

This was no ordinary boat ride. The MS Tulip had the charm of a cozy guesthouse but with the amenities of a high-end hotel. I booked one of the Terrace Suites, and having my morning coffee on the private balcony while drifting past ancient ruins? That’s something I’ll never forget.
The itinerary was well-paced. One day we explored Edfu Temple by horse-drawn carriage, and the next we were on the rooftop with a cool breeze and cold drink in hand 🍹.
Every evening there was something happening – a folkloric dance show, local music, or just laid-back conversations with new friends. It’s the kind of trip that makes you feel both adventurous and pampered.

We kicked off our Nile adventure aboard the Tulip Cruise in early February and it felt like a floating boutique hotel. The panoramic windows in our cabin gave us uninterrupted views of temples and sunsets every day. I spent most afternoons lounging on the large sundeck, sipping iced hibiscus juice and waving to fishermen below.
My favorite spot quickly became the pool bar. There’s something magical about floating down the Nile while chatting with fellow travelers and watching the golden desert slide past in the distance. The crew were warm and always smiling, and the overall vibe was calm, stylish, and surprisingly luxurious for a riverboat 🚢.
The ship’s gym was small but had everything needed for a quick sweat session before heading out on morning excursions. My partner really liked the breakfast buffet – she’s still dreaming about those fresh falafels.
